WHY DID THE ELEPHANT BECOME OUR MASCOT?
The elephant is the symbol of immunological resistance, that is why he became the mascot of the project.
It has in its DNA a pair of genes, TP53 AND LIF6 that acts as an eliminator of the cancer cell, making the elephant more resistant to contracting the disease.
The mascot's intention is to generate empathy and serve as a spokesperson to inform the population about the importance of cancer prevention and treatment.
